The Sage Group plc ("Sage") announces that Ruth Markland and Inna Kuznetsova have advised the Board of their intention to step down from their positions as non-executive directors of Sage at the next Annual General Meeting in February 2017.

Ruth Markland joined Sage in September 2006 as a non-executive director.  Ruth has served as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and is currently the Senior Independent Director. Inna Kuznetsova joined Sage as a non-executive director in March 2014. Drummond Hall has accepted the appointment of Senior Independent Director to take effect from the end of the Annual General Meeting.

Donald Brydon, Chairman, said: "It is the end of an era to see Ruth Markland retiring having served Sage through a period of extraordinary change.  We will miss her wise counsel given over the past decade.  Inna has been with us for a shorter time but brought a new perspective to our deliberations.  I thank them both for their service.  The Board is now engaged in finding their successors."
