                            Acquisition of Adaptus
                                       
Sage  announces the acquisition by its subsidiary, Tetra International Limited
(now  known  as  Sage Enterprise Solutions), of the entire  share  capital  of
Adaptus  Software  Services  Limited ('Adaptus') for  £3.5  million  in  cash.
Adaptus' turnover in the year to 30 April 1999 was £2.0 million.

Adaptus   is  a  provider  of  telesales,  EDI  and  warehousing  applications
integrating with Sage Enterprise Solution's products.  The acquisition further
enhances the company's offering to the mid-range market.
