Further to the announcement made on 17 September 2009, relating to the appointment of David Tyler as a Non-Executive Director of J Sainsbury plc on 1 October 2009, this notice contains certain information required to be disclosed in accordance with section LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (1) of the Listing Rules David Tyler is currently, or was, a Director of:

Reckitt Benckiser Group plc	Non-Executive Director Resigning 30 September 2009

3i Quoted Private Equity plc	Chairman

In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (3) of the Listing Rules, David Tyler was Chairman of 3i Quoted Private Equity plc which was de-listed from the London Stock Exchange on 25 September 2009 and will resign as Chairman following completion of the liquidation of the Company. 3i Quoted Private Equity plc's assets have been acquired by 3i Group plc under a solvent winding-up of the Company.

In accordance with section LR9.6.13 paragraph (2), (4), (5) and (6) of the Listing Rules, there is no information relating to David Tyler required to be disclosed.
