Successful Fracture of Lewino-1G2 in Gdansk W Concession
· 120 barrels per minute rate achieved at pressure
· Hydraulic Fracture successfully completed
San Leon Energy is pleased to announce it has successfully completed the hydraulic fracture of Lewino-1G2 well in Gdansk W Concession ("Concession") in the Baltic Basin.
United Oilfield Services ("UOS") carried out the operation yesterday and attained an average main treatment pump rate of 120 barrels per minute at pressure, which is the highest achieved outside North America. The pumping lasted less than three hours.
The fracture was completed on schedule and the well will now have tubing installed, in preparation for clean-up and testing.
San Leon will update the market with test results as soon as they are available.
Executive Chairman, Oisin Fanning commented:
"We are very satisfied with the initial results achieved by this operation. A high rate was an integral part of our frack design and to achieve a rate at the top end of that spectrum is very encouraging."
United Oilfield Services President, Dennis McKee, commented:
"UOS is pleased to have had the opportunity to participate with San Leon in successfully performing the first high pressure high rate hydraulic fracturing treatment outside of the North American unconventional shale plays."
