Board Changes

Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin and Zoffany,  announces the following changes to the Company's Board.

Ian Kirkham has informed the Board of his intention to stand down as Chairman at the end of this financial year, 31 January 2009, for health reasons. The Board would like to thank Ian for his outstanding contribution to the Company and to offer him sincere good wishes for the future. 

Under Ian's Chairmanship, Walker Greenbank has been restored to being a cash-generative and profitable company with a leading position in the luxury interior furnishings market. 

As the Board has been aware of the possibility that Ian might have to step down, an orderly succession has been planned.

Terry Stannard, who joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in September 2007, will become Chairman. Terry, who has extensive experience of consumer goods and brand-based businesses, has built up a thorough understanding of Walker Greenbank.

Fiona Clare Goldsmith (nee Ramsay) has been appointed as a new Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee, effective from 17 December 2008. 

Fiona, age 42, is a qualified accountant who started her career with KPMG, where for nine years she focused on the retail and leisure sectors in various roles. She then moved to First Choice Holidays plc, where she became European Finance Director. From 2004 until October this year she was Finance Director of Land Securities Trillium, a division of Land Securities Group plc.
