                               DIRECTORATE CHANGE




The Board of Walker Greenbank PLC announces the resignation of Peter
Gyllenhammar as Non-executive director of the Company with effect from today.
Since joining the Board, Peter has been spending an increasing amount of time in
Sweden and now feels he is no longer able to continue to carry out his duties as
a director of the Company. The Board thanks Peter for his contribution whilst he
has served on the Board and notes that he remains committed to Walker Greenbank
through his beneficial interest in The Union Discount Company of London Limited,
the Company's largest shareholder.

The Board is currently seeking a Non-executive Director to replace Peter and
hopes to be able to make an announcement in the near future.
