WALKER GREENBANK PLC
("Walker Greenbank" or "the Company")
Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior furnishings group whose brands include Sanderson, Morris & Co., Harlequin and Zoffany, is pleased to announce that its Sanderson brand has won two accolades in House Beautiful magazine's Awards 2010, including the prestigious Editor's Choice category.
House Beautiful's editor, Julia Goodwin, chose Sanderson's Vintage collection of fabrics and wallpapers for the Editor's Choice award. The Vintage collection, which reinterprets iconic Sanderson designs from the 1890s to the 1980s, was launched earlier this year and was designed specifically to mark Sanderson's 150th anniversary.
The Vintage collection is now Sanderson's highest-selling collection and it has also set a new record for achieving the highest sales of any Sanderson collection since Walker Greenbank acquired the brand in 2003.
The Vintage collection can be viewed at Sanderson's website at www.sanderson-uk.com/vintage-wallpaper.aspxand at www.sanderson-uk.com/vintage-fabric.aspx.
Sanderson also achieved a silver award in the Fabric Range of the Year category for A Painter's Garden, which was launched in the autumn of 2009. This collection is a mix of floral and botanical prints and embroideries on linen, glazed cotton and silk.
A Painter's Garden can be viewed at www.sanderson-uk.com/painters-garden-fabric.aspx.
John Sach, Walker Greenbank's Chief Executive, said: "It is particularly pleasing that the Sanderson brand should be recognised in its 150th anniversary year by these two accolades in the House Beautiful Awards 2010. These awards reflect positive trading at Sanderson, where the Vintage collection has set a record for achieving the highest sales of any Sanderson collection since our acquisition of the brand in 2003."
