Savills announces appointment of new Group Chief Financial Officer
Savills plc is pleased to announce that Simon Shaw will join the Board as Group Chief Financial Officer on 16 March 2009. He replaces Mark Dearsley who, as previously announced, left the company on 13 February 2009 to join Partnership Assurance.
Simon, aged 44, is a chartered accountant and was Chief Financial Officer of Gyrus Group PLC, the FTSE 250 international medical devices business, from 2003 until its sale to Olympus Corporation in February 2008, having previously been Chief Operating Officer of Profile Therapeutics plc between 1998 and 2003.
Between 1991 and 1997 he was a corporate financier, latterly at Hambros Bank Limited. Simon is currently a member of the techMARK Advisory Group of the London Stock Exchange and is non-executive Chairman of Synairgen plc.

In relation to the appointment, it is confirmed that there are no further details to be disclosed under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
