SAVILLS PLC
FPDSAVILLS AND TRAMMELL CROW COMPANY EXTEND JOINT VENTURE
TO ASIA
The Directors of Savills plc are delighted to announce
that they have recently extended the coverage of their
strategic alliance with Trammell Crow Company and the
associated outsourcing joint venture, Trammell Crow
Savills (TCS), to cover the Asia Pacific Region.
Trammell Crow Savills (Asia Pacific) based in Hong Kong
will provide project, facility and transaction management
services to clients throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
Like TCS, Trammell Crow Savills (Asia Pacific) is 51%
owned by Trammell Crow Company and 49% owned by Savills
plc. As part of the joint venture's extension to Asia,
Trammell Crow Savills (Asia Pacific) has acquired from
FPDSavills their subsidiary Construction Management
International (CMI) at a price which values the whole
business at a maximum of HK$64 million (£5.6 million)
subject to achieving specific profit targets over the
next two years.
James Osborne of CMI has been named Managing Director of
the new company with Rick McCulloch appointed Operations
Director.
Aubrey Adams, Group Chief Executive, comments 'This is an
exciting further development in our strategic alliance
with Trammell Crow Company. I am confident that Trammell
Crow Savills will rapidly establish itself as the leading
corporate real estate outsourcing company in both Europe
and Asia Pacific'.
Bill Concannon, CEO Trammell Crow Corporate Services,
comments:
'There is huge potential for developing our Trammell
Crow Savills Corporate Service Business in the Asia
Pacific Region. We had always intended that our
relationship with FPDSavills would have this geographic
breadth and are delighted that we can now offer our many
existing North American outsourcing customers and other
potential customers coverage through Trammell Crow
Savills in both Europe and Asia. The project management
business done by CMI fits squarely within the joint
venture's service offerings, and the acquisition of CMI
brings to Trammell Crow Savills (Asia Pacific) not only
an excellent business but also additional outstanding
management talent'.
David Wong, Chairman FPDSavills (Hong Kong) Limited,
comments:
'Our alliance with Trammell Crow Company gives our Asia
Pacific clients access to the world's largest real estate
market and enables us to service their increasingly
global requirements.
The formation of Trammell Crow Savills Asia Pacific is a
natural extension of the joint venture established in
Europe in June. Building off our highly successful
project management business, CMI, we can now offer a full
outsourcing service to major multi nationals in the
region'.
