Conversion of Subscription Shares

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") announces that the Company issued 27,995 ordinary shares today following the exercise of conversion rights by a number of subscription shareholders. The ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares and commenced trading today.

Following this issue of ordinary shares there are 145,949,115 ordinary shares and 28,451,601 subscription shares in issue. Each ordinary share carries one voting right; the subscription shares carry no voting rights. The total number of voting rights in the Company following this issue of ordinary shares is therefore 145,949,115.
