Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Rupert Hogg as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1 May 2023. Mr Hogg will also be a member of the audit and risk, nomination and management engagement committees.

Mr Hogg has more than 30 years international business experience gained through senior executive level positions in various large and complex organisations.  He joined John Swire & Sons Limited, part of the Swire conglomerate of businesses, in 1986 and worked with the group in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, India, Korea, Australia and the United Kingdom.  He was Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and Chairman of Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited between May 2017 and August 2019.  Previously, he had served as Chief Operating Officer of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, was a Director of Cathay Pacific and John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited, Chairman of AHK Air Hong Kong Limited and a Director and Chairman of the executive committee of Cathay Dragon.

Mr Hogg holds a Master of Arts degree in History from Edinburgh University.

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed concerning Mr Hogg under Listing Rule 9.6.13 R.
