Retirement of Director

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") announces that as part of the planned refreshment of the Board, Mr Robert Binyon retired at the Annual General Meeting held earlier today and did not seek re-election as a Director of the Company.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Binyon for his invaluable contribution to the Company during his 15 year tenure as a Director.
