Retirement of Director

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") announces that as part of the refreshment of the Board, Mr Anthony Fenn retired at the Annual General Meeting held earlier today and did not seek re-election as a Director of the Company.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Fenn for his invaluable contribution to the deliberations of the Directors during his tenure in office.

As previously announced, Mrs Rosemary Morgan is now the new Senior Independent Director and Mr James Williams the Chairman of the Management Engagement Committee.

In line with the provisions of the UK Corporate Governance Code as applicable to FTSE 350 companies, the Chairman of the Company, Mr Nicolas Smith will no longer be a member of the Audit Committee.
