Purchase of Shares For Cancellation

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") released announcement no 5278L at 17:47 on 1 August 2011 that incorrectly stated the number of subscription shares in issue as 29,011,527 rather than 28,479,596. The corrected announcement is set out in full below.

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") announces that on 29 July 2011 the Company purchased 150,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 222.0 pence per share.

Following this purchase of ordinary shares there are 145,921,120 ordinary shares and 28,479,596 subscription shares in issue. Each ordinary share carries one voting right; the subscription shares carry no voting rights. The total number of voting rights in the Company following this issue of ordinary shares is therefore 145,921,120.
