Purchase of Shares For Cancellation

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc (the "Company") released announcement no 0258L at 17:37 on 25 July 2011 notifying that on 22 July 2011 the Company purchased 175,000ordinaryshares for cancellation at a price of 223.25 pence per share. Due to an administrative error, the resultant number of ordinary shares in issue and voting right in the Company set out in that announcement were incorrectly stated as being 145,539,189 rather than 146,071,120. The corrected announcement is set out in full below.

The Company announces that on 22 July 2011 the Company purchased 175,000ordinaryshares for cancellation at a price of 223.25 pence per share.

Following this purchase of ordinary shares there are 146,071,120ordinary shares and 29,011,527 subscription shares in issue. Each ordinary share carries one voting right; the subscription shares carry no voting rights. The total number of voting rights in the Company following this issue of ordinary shares is therefore 146,071,120.
