PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES

Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc ("the Company") announces that on 28 October 2016, the Company purchased 80,000 ordinary shares at a price of 362.2 pence per share for cancellation.

Following this purchase, the Company's issued share capital consists of 167,570,716 Ordinary shares (no shares are held in treasury).  Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 167,570,716.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules
