Schroder Asian Total Return Investment Company plc (the "Company") announces that David Brief retired as Chairman of the Company at the annual general meeting held today. The board would like to take this opportunity to thank David for his leadership, and invaluable contribution to the Company over the last 12 years.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah MacAulay as the new Chairman of the Company.  Sarah has also been appointed chair of the nomination committee and management engagement committee.
