ISSUE OF ordinary shares

Schroder Asian Total Return Investment Company plc ("the Company") announces that it has issued new ordinary shares of 5p each under its block listing facility: 50,000 at a price of 468.1 pence per share and a further 50,000 shares at 468 pence per share. The total shares issued on 3 December 2020 is 100,000.

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 100,324,651 ordinary shares of 5p each. There are no shares held in treasury. Accordingly, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 100,324,651.

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
