Market Purchase of Company's Own Shares

Notification is given that pursuant to the authority granted at an Annual General Meeting on 19 April 2012 to make market purchases of the Company's own ordinary shares of 5p each, a market purchase of 496,522 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company was made today at a price of 171.32p per share.

Following this purchase and cancellation there are 150,384,586 ordinary shares in issue.

The issued share capital of the Company following this purchase is 150,384,586 ordinary shares of 5p each. The figure to be used as the denominator for calculations of interests in the Company's voting rights is 150,384,586 as on a poll ordinary shareholders have one vote for every 5p in nominal value.
