Retirement of Director

Schroder Japan Growth Fund plc (the "Company") announces that Mr John Scott will retire as a Director of the Company with effect from 31 December 2015.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Scott for the great contribution he has made to the Company during his eleven year tenure as a Director, and in particular for his leadership of the Audit Committee.
