The Company was notified on 23 August 2005 that as at 18 August 2005, Barclays
plc had a notifiable interest, through legal entities listed below, in 5,541,644
ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, being 4.43% of the 125,008,200
shares in issue.



The details of the legal entities are as follows: Gerrard Ltd, 3,575,826 shares;
Barclays Bank Trust Company Ltd, 11,691 shares; Barclays Life Assurance Co Ltd,
253,937 shares and Barclays Global Investors Ltd, 1,700,190 shares.  The
shareholdings are held through various nominee accounts.
