Result of audit tender

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Board has approved the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP as the Company's independent auditor for the current financial year, ending 31 August 2018.

This appointment follows a competitive tender process, conducted as described in the Company's 2016 Annual Report and Accounts.

Shareholder approval for the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP as the Company's auditor for the next financial year, ending 31 August 2019, will be sought at the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held in December 2018.

There are no matters in connection with Ernst & Young LLP's prospective resignation as the Company's auditor which, in the view of the Board, need to be brought to the attention of shareholders.
