First Interim Dividend

For The Year Ending 31 August 2010

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Directors of the Company have declared the payment of a first interim dividend of 2.60 pence per share for the year ending 31 August 2010 on the Ordinary Shares of the Company.

This first interim dividend represents an increase of 4% on the 2.50 pence per share that was paid last year.

Ex-Dividend Date:	10 March 2010
Record Date:	12 March 2010
Payment Date:	1 April 2010
Dividend per Share:	2.60p
