First Interim Dividend

For The Year Ending 31 August 2014

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Directors of the Company have declared the payment of a first interim dividend of 1.50 pence per share for the year ending 31 August 2014 on the Ordinary Shares of the Company.

Please note that this dividend is the first quarterly dividend to be paid in respect of the financial year to end August 2014.

Ex-Dividend Date:	15 January 2014
Record Date:	17 January 2014
Payment Date:	31 January 2014
Dividend per Share:	1.50p

For the avoidance of doubt, it is expected that interim dividends will be declared in respect of the quarters ended 30 November, 28 February, 31 May and 31 August in January, April, July and October each year.
