First Interim Dividend

For The Year Ending 31 August 2013

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Directors of the Company have declared the payment of a first interim dividend of 2.95 pence per share for the year ending 31 August 2013 on the Ordinary Shares of the Company.

This first interim dividend represents an increase of 9.3% on the 2.70 pence per share that was paid last year as a first interim dividend.

Payment Date:	3 May 2013
Dividend per Share:	2.95p
