Appointment of Executive Director

Schroders plc announces that Peter Harrison, Head of Investment, has been appointed to the Board with immediate effect.

Andrew Beeson, Chairman of Schroders, comments;

"Peter's appointment to the Board as Head of Investment reflects the strong growth the firm has seen in recent years, managing £268bn as at 31 March 2014. I am delighted to welcome him to the Board." 

There are no further details required to be disclosed in respect of Mr Harrison's appointment under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Peter Harrison

Peter Harrison was appointed Head of Investment in May 2014 having previously been Global Head of Equities.  He began his career at Schroders in 1988 as an equity analyst. He subsequently held roles at Newton as a portfolio manager, at JPMorgan as Head of Global Equities and Multi-asset, at Deutsche Asset Management as Global Chief Investment Officer and at RWC Partners as Chairman and Chief Executive.  Schroders has been a shareholder in RWC since 2010 and Mr Harrison is non-executive Chairman.
