Board and Committee Changes

Schroders plc (the "Company") today announces that Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson will join the Board as an Independent Non-executive Director, effective 1 July 2022. He will also join the Audit and Risk Committee and the Nominations Committee.

Paul is currently Chief Financial Officer and Group Head of Strategy of InterContinental Hotels Group plc (IHG) and has previously held roles at HSBC and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme.

Biographical details of Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson are set out below. There are no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in connection with his appointment.

Sir Damon Buffini, who is currently Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, has informed the Board that due to the time commitment required, he wishes to stand down as Chairman of the Committee. Matthew Westerman, who joined the Remuneration Committee in November 2020, will succeed Damon as Chairman of the Committee at the conclusion of the 2022 Annual General Meeting. Damon will continue to be a member of the Committee.

Biographical Details

Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson started his career in 1994 at Price Waterhouse, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He subsequently spent seven years working within Corporate Finance at HSBC Investment Bank where he advised a wide range of multinational companies on equity and debt fund raising, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures before re-joining PricewaterhouseCoopers in Private Equity Tax Structuring.

Paul joined IHG in 2004 where he has held a number of senior finance positions including Head of Investor Relations, Head of Global Corporate Finance, Financial Planning & Tax and Chief Financial Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Paul was appointed to the Board of IHG as Chief Financial Officer in January 2014 and has been responsible for group strategy since April 2019.
