In accordance with Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 and Chapter 9,
Paragraph 13 of the Listing Rules, we hereby inform you that the Company has
today been notified by Prudential plc that following recent sales of ordinary
shares of Schroders plc, the interest of Prudential plc is now 6,656,543
ordinary shares, representing 2.94% of the issued ordinary share capital of
Schroders plc, and has thus ceased to represent a notifiable interest.
