today been notified by Legal & General Investment Management Limited that
following a sale in the market of 211,199 ordinary shares of Schroders plc on
4th February 2003, the interest of Legal & General Investment Management Limited
is now 6,585,571 ordinary shares representing 2.90% of the issued ordinary share
capital of Schroders plc, and that Legal & General Investment Management Limited
has thus ceased to have a notifiable interest.
