notified by Harris Associates L.P. that following the purchase of 409,830
ordinary shares of Schroders plc on 26 January 2007, accounts managed by Harris
Associates L.P. became the beneficial owners of 16,204,595 ordinary shares,
representing 7.17% of the issued ordinary share capital of Schroders plc.
