The issuer has made the following amendment to the SAR - Schroder Ventures
announcement released on 28/3/01 at 07:05 under RNS No 1637B.  

The announcement was submitted incorrectly under the Company name of Schroder
Investment Management.  The announcement should have been submitted under the
correct Company name of Schroders Plc. 

The percentage figures at (2) should read (27.821%) and not (27.281%) as
previously stated.

All other details remain unchanged.
