Issue of Equity

Woodford Patient Capital Trust plc (the "Company") announces that, on 11 August 2015, it issued 4,000,000 new ordinary shares of 1 pence each (the "Ordinary Shares") for cash at a price of 115.7 pence per share to meet ongoing demand for Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Company's tap issuance programme. 

Applications will be made for the new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the UK Listing Authority's Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for traded securities. It is expected that such admissions will become effective and that dealings in the new Ordinary Shares will commence on 17 August 2015. The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with, and will have the same rights as, the Ordinary Shares of the Company already in issue.

In conformity with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue stands at 804,000,000 following this issue, and the total number of voting rights in the Company is 804,000,000. There are no shares held in Treasury.  The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
