Solo (AIM: SOLO), the natural resources investment company focused on acquiring and developing a diverse global non-operated portfolio of strategic oil and gas assets, today announces the retirement of Donald Strang as a non-executive director of the Company.  Mr Strang was first appointed as Finance Director in October 2014 before stepping down to a non-executive capacity in August 2016. The board intends on appointing a new independent non-executive director in the near term having regard to the QCA Corporate Governance Code adopted by the Company.

 

Alastair Ferguson, Solo's Non-Executive Chairman, commented:

"On behalf of the board and shareholders I would like to thank Don for his contribution to the Company. The Company is in an important transitional phase with best practice corporate governance a key deliverable for the board. In this regard we will be looking to appoint an independent non-executive director in due course."
