Board Update

On 23 November 2021 the Board of The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust plc (the "Company"), announced that James Ferguson, the Company's Chairman had indicated his intention to retire from the Board within the next 12 months.

 

The Board announces that on 20 July 2022, James Ferguson stepped down as the Company's Chairman and retired as a Non-Executive Director. Jeremy Whitley succeeded Mr Ferguson as the Company's Chairman.

 

Additionally Michelle Paisley succeeded Mr Whitley as the Chair of the Audit Committee, while Andrew Baird succeeded Mr Ferguson as Chair of the Remuneration, Management Engagement and Nominations Committees.

 

The Board thanks Mr Ferguson for his many years of service to the Company.
