Change of Auditor
Securities Trust of Scotland plc (the "Company") announces that Chiene & Tait
has resigned as auditor to the Company with effect from 26 January 2009.

Chiene & Tait's resignation is a consequence of an audit tender process held by
the Company.

After careful consideration, Deloitte has been appointed as the replacement
auditor to the Company.

Deloitte's first audit will be for the year ending 31 March 2009.
