Correction to announcement released at 07:00 on 24 March 2016 under RNS reference 1085T. The original announcement incorrectly stated the total number of ordinary shares bought back was 86,241. The correct total number of ordinary shares bought back was 86,421. The total number of shares held in treasury is 9,122,346, and Securities Trust of Scotland has a total of 113,176,802 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.

Transaction in own shares - 24 March 2016

On 23 March 2016, Securities Trust of Scotland plc bought back 86,421 ordinary shares at a price of 135.46p per share to be HELD AS TREASURY. 

Following this purchase Securities Trust of Scotland plc holds 9,122,346 shares in TREASURY, and has a total of 113,176,802 ordinary shares with voting rights (excluding Treasury shares) in issue.
