BOARD CHANGES

BioScience VCT plc is pleased to announce the appointment of James Anthony 
Otter as a non-executive director with effect from 11 July 2005.

James has been, within the past five years, but is no longer a director of
Spectris plc.

There are no further matters to be disclosed under paragraph LR 9.6.13 R of the
Listing Rules.

The Company also wishes to announce that as of 11 July 2005, Glynne Stanfield, 
a partner at Eversheds LLP, has been replaced as Company Secretary by
Eversecretary Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eversheds LLP. This is an
administrative change and there will be no adjustments to the company
secretarial services provided to the Company.
