ISSUE OF EQUITY



BioScience VCT plc announces that on 4 October it issued and allotted 5,050
ordinary shares under the Offers for Subscription.  The issued share capital of
the Company is now 7,166,909 ordinary shares.  The new shares were issued at a
price of 100p each.



Application will be made for admission of the new ordinary shares to trading on
the London Stock Exchange, with dealings expected to commence on 8 October 2002.
