ISSUE OF EQUITY

BioScience VCT plc announces that on 23 September 2003 the Company issued and
allotted 10,112 new ordinary shares of 50p each.  The issued share capital of
the Company is now 7,301,287 ordinary shares.  The new shares were issued for
cash at a price of 100p each.

Application will be made for admission of the new ordinary shares to trading on
the London Stock Exchange as soon as practicable.
