Issue of Equity and Total Voting Rights
The directors of Hygea VCT plc (the 'Company') are pleased to announce an allotment on 31 July 2008 of 106,000 ordinary shares of 50 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 50 pence each pursuant to the 10% Top Up Offer announced on 19 March 2008.
Application will be made for the Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities and dealings are expected to commence within the next ten days.
100,000 Ordinary Shares comprising the allotment was made to The Trustees of the Larpent Newton & Co Ltd Directors Retirement Plan which is a self-invested pension managed for the benefit of Charles Breese, a director of the Company.
The Offer has now closed.
In conformity with the provisions of the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, as at 30 May 2008, the Company issued capital consists of 7,788,191 Ordinary Shares. The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.
The total number of voting rights in the Company is 7,788,191 and this is the figure which may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine, if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
