London, 12 July 2011 - Serica Energy Plc (the Company) (TSX: SQZ; AIM: SQZ) announces that on 11 July 2011, Luska Limited, an investment company owned by Neil Pike (Non-Executive Director) and members of his immediate family, transferred 100,000 shares to Neil Pike and 100,000 shares to Romayne Pike (Mr Pike's spouse) at a price of 26.5 pence per share. Mr Pike's beneficial shareholding in the Company remains unchanged at 405,000 Ordinary shares (0.23 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company).
