Directors' Shareholdings

Shanta Gold announces that Export Holdings Ltd acquired 6,392,227 ordinary
shares of 0.01p each ("Ordinary Shares") in the Company as part of the equity
placement as announced by the Company on 29 September 2010. Following the
placing, Export Holdings Ltd has an interest in a total of 27,079,727 Ordinary
Shares in the Company.

Ketan Patel, Non-Executive Director of Shanta Gold has a 50% interest in Export
Holdings Ltd. Therefore, following the issue of the Ordinary Shares in the
Company to Export Holdings Ltd, Ketan Patel is beneficially interested in a
total of 27,079,727 Ordinary Shares in the Company, which represents 15.15% of
the issued share capital of the Company.

In addition, Mahesh Patel, Alternate Non-Executive Director of Shanta Gold also
has a 50% interest in Export Holdings Ltd. Therefore, following the issue of the
Ordinary Shares in the Company to Export Holdings Ltd, Mahesh Patel is also
beneficially interested in a total of 27,079,727 Ordinary Shares in the Company,
which represents 15.15% of the issued share capital of the Company.
