Director's Transfer of Shares

Shanta Gold Limited ("Shanta Gold" or "Company") announces that Walton Imrie, Chairman has today transferred ownership of part of his beneficial shareholding in the Company, namely 100,000 ordinary shares, to The Ben Bathurst Memorial Trust. As this transfer is a charitable donation, Mr Imrie has received no consideration in respect of the 100,000 ordinary shares.  

Following this transfer, Mr Imrie's total beneficial shareholding in the Company comprises 10,085,124 ordinary shares which represents 3.71% of the issued share capital of the Company.
