                            First Interim Dividend



The Board of Shires Income plc has declared a first interim dividend of 4.40p
per share in respect of the year to 31 March 2002 (first interim 2001 - 4.35p)
payable on 31 October 2001 to shareholders on the register at close of
business on 5 October 2001.



Shires Income plc is managed by Glasgow Investment Managers Limited.
