The announcement released today, 25 January 2022 at 14:14hrs (RNS No: 5979Z) confirmed the appointment of Helen Sinclair as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2021. 

The date of appointment should read 1 February 2022.

Board Changes

The Board of Shires Income PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Sinclair as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2022. 

Helen Sinclair began her career in investment banking and spent nearly eight years at 3i plc focusing on management buy-outs and growth capital investments. She later co-founded Matrix Private Equity (which became Mobeus Equity Partners) in 2000 and subsequently became Managing Director of the company before moving to take on a number of non-executive director roles. She is a non-executive director of WH Ireland Group plc and Chairman of British Smaller Companies VCT, and will be appointed as a non-executive director of BlackRock Smaller Companies Trust plc on 1 March 2022.

Ms Sinclair is also currently a non-executive director of Mobeus Income & Growth 4 VCT plc and The Income & Growth VCT plc, but is due to retire from each of these boards during February 2022.

In the past five years Ms Sinclair has been a non-executive director of Rockwood Realisation plc. There are no other disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.

Ms Sinclair will stand for election at the Annual General Meeting to be held in July 2022.
