                 ACQUISITION OF KESTEVEN ROOFING CENTRE LIMITED

SIG plc has acquired Kesteven Roofing Centre Limited. The company is a long
established and well-respected specialist roofing distributor with 3 branches in
Yorkshire and Humberside. It will continue to trade separately under its own
name and will form an important addition to SIG's Roofing Division.
