Bell Mobility launches Text-to-Landline service with TeleMessage
Messaging International Plc, the AIM traded provider of innovative messaging
services, has, through its 100% owned subsidiary, TeleMessage Ltd, signed an
agreement with Bell Mobility, a division of major telecoms operator, Bell
Canada, to launch its Text-to Landline service. This application will allow
Bell Mobility subscribers to send a text message from a wireless phone to any
landline phone.
The Text-to-Landline software enables Bell Mobility wireless customers to create
and send text messages which are converted to voice messages and retrieved by
landline recipients. The recipient can then respond by voice to the wireless
customer, who will receive the reply message as a text. The wireless customer
will also receive a status text message telling him if the message was delivered
to a live person or a voicemail system. Bell Mobility customers who use the
service will pay standard text message costs and TeleMessage will receive a
percentage of this fee.
Guy Levit, CEO of Messaging International, said, 'The launch with Bell Mobility
will allow thousands of customers to enjoy the benefits of our Text-to-Landline
service. Additionally, the agreement further strengthens our already impressive
client list of major global telecom operators, which have chosen to integrate
our messaging services due to their innovative and leading edge over competitive
systems.'
