Agreement with Partner Communications Ltd
Messaging International Plc, the AIM traded provider of innovative messaging
services, has signed an agreement with Partner Communications Ltd (orangeTM
brand) (NASDAQ and TASE: PTNR; LSE: PCCD), one of Israel's leading mobile
service providers, to launch a service which enables orange users to send text
and multimedia messages to any mobile phone.
The service, known as smsomms, allows orange mobile subscribers to send text,
pictures, music and video to mobile phones from their PCs. The service
integrates with the Internet Explorer and Windows File Explorer, and allows
users to right-click the mouse over multimedia content and send it to mobile
phones. The service also integrates with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook
Express and allows sending messages to established contact lists and groups.
Orange customers can download the software from the www.orange.co.il portal,
from which they'll get the service via TeleMessage.
Messaging International Managing Director, Guy Levit, said, 'Following the
strong uptake of PC to SMS, sending MMS messages from your PC is a natural
evolution. MMS uptake with operators can tremendously improve by enabling users
to send content from the Internet and their PCs to their mobile phones.'
