Agreement signed with Virgin Mobile USA
Messaging International Plc, the AIM traded provider of innovative messaging
services, has, through its subsidiary TeleMessage, signed an agreement with
Virgin Mobile USA ('Virgin Mobile') to market Messaging International's
proprietary Text to Landline solution.
The new service will enable Virgin Mobile users to send text messages, which are
then converted to voice messages by text to speech technology and delivered to
any landline phone in the USA. The recipient can then send a voice or selected
text message reply, which the original sender can retrieve through a text
message alert. Virgin Mobile customers pay standard text messaging rates when
using the Text to Landline service and Messaging International will take a
percentage of this revenue.
Messaging International CEO, Guy Levit, said: 'The launch with Virgin Mobile
adds one more US operator to our rapidly growing client list, thereby confirming
our position as leader in the Text to Landline application in the North American
market. The service is becoming increasingly popular, enabling users to
communicate directly and non-intrusively with friends and family who use a
landline.'
The TeleMessage technology provides a cross-platform media messaging management
system. Designed to enable PC, browser, mobile phone and wireline telephone
users to send, receive and manage voice messages, email, text (SMS), IM and MMS
across various media platforms. Multiple languages can be used, it has text to
speech capabilities, email notification, unlimited SMS length and direct reply
to SMS capabilities, all illustrating the uniqueness of the service.
