             Dawnay, Day Sirius Limited: Transaction in own shares

Dawnay, Day Sirius Limited (the 'Company') announces that on 23 January 2008 it
purchased 83,834 ordinary shares at an average price of EUR 0.755 per share.

The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,680,989 of its ordinary shares
in treasury and has 326,119,011 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury
shares).
